Aly & AJ – Good Love
American pop sister duo Alyson and Amanda Joy Michalka, better known as Aly & AJ, had their first hit – in Canada – in 2005 with their version of The Lovin’ Spoonful’s Do You Believe In Magic. Their success was widened with Chemicals React, Potential Breakup Song and Like Whoa.
Ten years after 2007’s album Insomniac, after a short name-change into 78violet, Aly & AJ released their first new EP, appropriately titled Ten Years. Now, they treat us with Good Love, which has a glittery, ’80s-inflected synth sound, layered vocals and a punching chorus. The song marks the first taste of new music they promise to release this year.
