Anteros – Ordinary Girl
Anteros are a British band who refuse to be typecast. Having spent their formative years experimenting with dreamy indie pop, gritty electronic rock and shimmering disco, on new single Ordinary Girl, they embrace an introspective folk rock sound, whilst slowing the tempo. This fits the songβs theme. Front woman Laura Hayden: βI wrote the song when my grandmother passed away and the same week I found out that my dad was having a child with his wife. (β¦) I donβt know if Iβm supposed to be mourning or if I should be happy.β
The single precedes Anterosβ debut album When We Land, set for release onΒ 1 March 2019. The band recorded it withΒ Charlie Andrew (Alt-J, Marika Hackman, Bloc Party).
