Boniface – It’s A Joke
When Boniface (a.k.a. Micah Visser) released his self-titled debut album early this year, It’s A Joke immediately stood out. Now, it’s his new single. A catchy, sophisticated, tightly produced pop song that fans of The 1975 will love.
The tune’s energy is also represented in the video, which pays homage to Adam Ant and ABBA. It was shot in Toronto, just one day before lockdown commenced in Canada. “It’s weird to think about now,” Micah Visser remembers, ”but I’m glad it’s the last thing we got to do. Basically, we just wanted to have fun with this one. And we did!”
Boniface is currently spending the quarantine period to continue writing, taking full advantage to utilise a newly built home studio. So, expect new material sooner rather than later.
