Bugs – In the Middle (Of It)
Iβm not too much of a fan of bugs, especially when it comes to computer software or apps. But music is the exception to the rule. In that case, I love Bugs. The band, that is. Once the best-kept secret of their hometown Brisbane, but nowadays an Australia-wide phenomenon.
25 March, the trio will release their third album Cooties. It contains 10 tracks, half of which have already been put forward as singles. The latest, In The Middle (Of It), follows Old Youth Feeling, Diamond, Decisions, and Commitments & Plans. As always, itβs another one of their heartfelt, honest and relatable rock songs. Energetic and incredibly catchy!
Front man Connor Brooker says about the new track: βItβs a yearning track about feeling like youβre always the second option for someone. The to and fro internally while trying to figure out where you stand with someone can be so confusing. Itβs kind of just an internal dialogue I had while being effectively lead on by someone already in a relationship.β
