Datarock – Everything
Originating from the same Bergen scene as Röyksopp and the Kings Of Convenience, Norwegian band Datarock were initially formed in 2000. Their name is a combination of the Norwegian word for computer – datamaskin – and the word rock. Drawing inspiration from bands like Devo, Talking Heads and Happy Mondays, their sound has been described as ‘new rave’ and ‘electronic dance punk’. Their music has been used in many commercials, soundtracks and high-profile games.
In the spring of 2018, Datarock (by then consisting of Fredrik Saroea, Ketil Mosnes, Øyvind Solheim and Stig Narve Brunstad) released their first studio album in nine years, Face The Brutality. Everything was one of the stand-out tracks from the beginning and has now been chosen as its new single.
