Deluxe – I Love You
I dare you to find some information about a band named Deluxe, using Google. Especially about their new single, which they named I Love You. Thankfully their music is less generic than that. Deluxe are a French sextet, discovered when busking the streets of Aix en Provence. They’re still at their best when performing live. Since forming in 2007, they played over 500 concerts all over the world.
During a small break at the end of 2019, the band went into the studio to record five new songs. These will be added to an updated version of last year’s album Boys And Girl. This re-edition, Boys And Girl suite et fin, is set to be released on 6 March.
One of the five bonus tracks, I Love You, is out now as Deluxe’s new single. It opens with a piano reminiscent of the one in Fatboy Slim’s Praise You, followed by verses in French and choruses in English. A fun song, that should do well on the radio as well, just like previous singles such as Daniel and Shoes.
