Esteban – Suburban Paradise
For an upcoming band, Esteban were extremely successful between their first EP in 2008 and their debut album in 2011. They were championed by radio stations and publications, their music appeared in games and global campaigns. On top of that, they played hundreds of gigs throughout the UK. Upon the release of their debut album however, the band members had to concede that the party had taken its toll. The title of its last single, Jump Ship, appeared to be prophetical. They never returned to the stage… until now.
Esteban regained the fun in making music, and it shows in Suburban Paradise, their first single in nearly a decade. Just like before, they joyfully combine funk with world music, latin rhythms and rock into what they call desert funk. Suburban Paradise is the first track ahead of the band’s sophomore album Jackpot Motel. They recorded it in November 2019, entirely live with no click tracks.
