Étienne Daho feat. Flavien Berger – Après Le Blitz
French singer-songwriter Étienne Daho had his first successes in 1984 and worked with William Orbit, to name but one, long before he gained international recognition. At the end of last year, Daho released his 11th studio album Blitz, which he recorded in London. Its title is a reference to the climate in the city after the Brexit and the terrorist attacks. Clearly, it’s not his most uplifting work to date.
First single Les Flocons De L’été relates to the month of August 2013, which he spent in a hospital, after almost dying from peritonitis. Second single Le Jardin is an ode to his sister, who went missing in 2016. Après Le Blitz, which lasts over 6,5 minutes on the album, has been edited for release as Daho’s new single.
