European Border Breakers Chart 17 February 2017
The European Border Breakers Chart is the quickest way to get to know what talented European artists are successfully breaking borders across our continent. Following the chart throughout the year also enables you to predict next year’s European Border Breakers Awards winners, which is a nice game in itself.
Half of the 12 entries in this week’s EBBChart were never in the Top 100 before. Don’t Kill My Vibe, the debut single of emerging Norwegian pop singer Sigrid is the highest entry at #52. The track is popular on radio all over Scandinavia, but also in Germany, Spain, the UK and Ireland. More countries are set to follow.
The other entries are Arman Cekin feat. Paul Rey & Snoop Dogg (California Dreaming, #69), Liv Dawson (Searching, #86), Wincent Weiss (Feuerwerk, #87), Jain (Heads Up, #94) and Izzy Bizu (Give Me Love, #100).
A warm welcome back from my part to Thanks (feat. Sam Sparro) (Your Man, #77) and Zak Abel (Everybody Needs Love, #96).
For the complete Top 100, click the ‘EBBChart’ tab at the top of this blog (loading of the PDF may take a little while). Visit www.europeanborderbreakerscharts.eu for more charts (like the Bubbling Under, which ranks the tracks that are on their way to the Top 100).
