European Border Breakers Chart 21 July 2017
Friday, chart day! Holiday season may be in full effect, but the radio never sleeps. This week, The European Border Breakers Chart counts four all-new entries. As predicted last week, Dua Lipa (pictured) makes an impressive entrance at #31 with her new single New Rules. The eighth(!) track off her self-titled debut album to make an appearance, six of which appear in this weekβs chart. Mr. Jukes follows-up his single Angels/Your Love with the track Grant Green, a collaboration with American soul singer Charles Bradley that is in at #33 this week. At quite some distance from these two, at #87, we find two Norwegian girls who form Smerz, whose single Oh My My receives airplay in the UK and the Czech Republic. Finally, at #91, this singer of Belgian indie rock band Balthazar, J. Bernardt, scores his third EBBC hit with The Direction. The fourth one is on its way, as his track On Fire is at #5 in our Tips this week.
