European Border Breakers Chart 5 May 2017
For me, as a chart freak, the upper regions of a chart are never the most interesting. The real treats are not the hits, but the hits to be.
This is also the case in the European Border Breakers Chart: the real action is in the bottom half of the chart. There, we find no less than 14 entries this week, five of which have never been in the chart before: Harry Styles (#79), Van Echelpoel (#92; pictured), Superorganism (#96), Kristian Kostov (#97) and Powerkryner (#100).
Youβll find the complete Top 100 by clicking the βEBBChartβ tab in the top menu of this blog (loading of the PDF may take a little while). For more upfront chart action Iβd like to point you to the Bubbling Under chart, featuring ten tracks from all over Europe that are on their way to the Top 100. At www.europeanborderbreakerschart.eu youβll also find new ETEP charts, indicating live success of artists outside their country of origin, based on the number of ETEPΒ festivals they played in April. There you can also read my full chart analysis.
