European Border Breakers Chart 6 July 2018

In the current hot summer weather, the European Border Breakers Chart is an oasis of freshness. There’s no other pool of new European music that’s so quick to discover such a diverse set of future talent from the continent. If you think that’s a bold statement, look at this week’s Top 100. It contains no less than 35 (re)entries! 16 of these tracks are in the chart for the first time.

Allow me to pick one as an example. Nana Adjoa (pictured) is a young Dutch talent, whose debut single The Resolution was a Carte Blanche Music Wildcard over a year ago. She planted the first seeds for international success with her showcase at this year’s ESNS festival. It was an intimate affair, just like her music. Her single Honestly has now been picked up by French radio, resulting in Adjoa’s first EBBChart entry at #82.

This is the complete list of this week’s entries:
#38: The Blaze – She
#44: Pale Waves – Noises
#51: Takagi & Ketra feat. Giusy Ferreri & Sean Kingston – Amore E Capoeira
#52: B Young – 079ME
#55: Biflats – El Bou De Portbou
