European Border Breakers Chart 9 February 2018
Glad to see the new chart rules (specifically the one excluding tracks from the European Border Breakers Chart after 52 weeks) have the desired effect. Since the beginning of 2018, more emerging European artists have become visible in the Top 100 than ever before. That trend continues this week, with 22 (re)entries, 12 of which have never been in the chart before.
These entries are: Angèle – Je Veux Tes Yeux (#37), Lines – Lockdown (#41), Pale Waves – The Tide (#53), Nilüfer Yanya – Thanks 4 Nothing (#59; pictured), Amber Arcades – Which Will (#65), B Young – Jumanji (#66), Strøm – Shay-Ling (#82), Elle Watson – Suspended (#85), LCAW feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor – Hummingbird (#89), Lotto Boyzz – No Don (#94), whenyoung – Pretty Pure (#95), and Fours – Sweet Reality (#97).
For the complete Top 100, click the ‘EBBChart’ tab in the top menu of this blog (loading of the PDF may take a little while). More charts, like the Tips (ranking the tracks that are on their way to the Top 100), the Airplay Chart and the Streaming Chart, are available at www.europeanborderbreakerschart.eu, where you can listen to all of the tracks and watch their videos as well.
