European Border Breakers Chart 9 March 2018
Iโm not exaggerating when I state the European Border Breakers Chart is the most refreshing chart of all. Once again, I have to issue a Code Blue warning, as the Top 100 counts 24 (re)entries this week, 7 of which are complete newcomers. Howโs that for discovering new music?
European Border Breakers Award winner Alma keeps scoring hit after hit. Good Vibes (feat. Tove Styrke) off her Heavy Rules Mixtape is this weekโs highest entry at #16. The other newcomer follow at respectful distance: Wiinston – Rosa (#47), Tom Gregory – Losing Sleep (#48), Superorganism – Night Time (#61), Mist feat. Mr Eazi & Fekky – Display Skills (#68), Day_S – Elbows (#82), and, saving the best for last: Lova – You Me And The Silence (#97; pictured).
Two of these entries even have another track lined up to enter the Top 100 next week: both Superorganism and Alma appear in the Tips chart, which also features Hourglass by Imitating Aeroplanes and Une Envie Mรฉchante by Tim Dup, by the way.
For the full Top 100, click the โEBBChartโ tab in the top menu of this blog (loading of the PDF may take a little while). More charts, like the Tips (ranking the tracks that are on their way to the Top 100), the Airplay Chart and the Streaming Chart, are available at www.europeanborderbreakerschart.eu, where you can also listen to all of the tracks and watch their videos, as well as share them via social media.
