Fauna – Done Alright
In the blur that was the end of 2020/start of 2021, when the rest of the world stopped, Fauna got busy. Brothers Danny (vocals, guitar) and Adam (guitar), Tom (drums) and Charlie (bass) perfected their sound and recorded new music. They even brewed their own beer.
The Manchester-based four-pieceβs new single Done Alright is a characteristically upbeat indie pop anthem. It combines summery pop moments, old school rock and roll percussion and soaring choruses. The songβs high energy and irresistibly catchy chorus work in antithesis to the poignant lyrics underneath.
Talking about the inspiration for Done Alright, lead singer Danny Williams said: βThe song came into being last year, during a time when womenβs safety on our streets was under the spotlight. As a band of 4 dudes we felt it was important for us to understand what we could do in our own lives to improve things. Creatively, this was our response. We wanted to join the conversation and encourage others to take a look at the world around them, learn to empathise and strive for a better and safer society.β
