High Contrast – Shotgun Mouthwash
High Contrast is the stage name of British remixer and drum & bass-producer Lincoln Barrett, whose father was the manager of Shakin’ Stevens, decades ago. High Contrast released one or more singles in most years of this century so far, and the diversity of styles he displays is incredible. Thatβs great from an artistic point of view, but it doesnβt make it easy to pigeonhole his music. Andβ¦ thatβs great from an artistic point of view as well π
His new single Shotgun Mouthwash is from the βT2 Trainspottingβ soundtrack and vaguely sounds like a psyched up version of Norman Greenbaumβs Spirit In The Sky. I tagged its genre as βrockβ for stereotyping purposes, but feel free to give it any other label you like. High Contrast probably couldnβt care less.
