Jerry Williams – Left And Right
Jerry Williams is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Southampton, who knows how to write an earworm or two. Her 2016 single Mother and this year’s Grab Life were two great examples already.
Her new single is a song that dates back to 2014, when she wrote it with Newton Faulkner and his brother Toby. Since then, Left And Right has been one of the top tracks in Williams’s live set. With producer Luke Smith (Crystal Fighters, Foals) she succeeded in capturing the song’s live energy into the recorded version, that mixes her indie pop roots with country/Americana influences.
Let’s hope Left And Right is her definitive claim to fame, ahead of two new EPs that are planned to be released over the next year.
