Jet & The Bloody Beetroots – My Name Is Thunder
Aussie rockers Jet, best-known for their single Are You Gonna Be My Girl, and Italy-born EDM act The Bloody Beetroots recorded a single together. Even better: they recorded two versions of the same song, to soothe everyone’s taste. As long as you’re a rocker or an EDM lover, that is…
It all started with The Bloody Beetroots’ Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo expressing a desire to work with Jet singer Nic Cester on a song. By the time Cester shared the resulting track, My Name Is Thunder, with his bandmates, the idea came up to have all of Jet involved. In the end it was decided to make two versions of the song: one flat out rock version, credited to Jet & The Bloody Beetroots, and an EDM version, credited to The Bloody Beetroots & Jet. Both versions have one thing in common: they’re completely over the top!
Personally, I like the rock version best. But of course I’ll let you decide for yourself. So here they are, both versions of My Name Is Thunder…
