Kraftklub – Fenster
For me, Kraftklub is one of the best German bands in recent years. After a festival gig in 2009, where rapper Bernd Bass (Felix Brummer) collaborated with rock band Neon Blocks, they decided to start a new band together: Kraftklub. They gained popularity by opening for other well-known German bands, like Die Toten Hosen, Die Ärtze and Rammstein. It didn’t take long for them to become headliners themselves.
2 June KraftKlub will release their third studio album Keine Nacht Für Niemand. Fenster is the second single off it. It’s about an angry citizen who wants to take the law in his own hands. The lyrics tackle topics like fake news, irrational anger and fear, and the wish to set the record straight. Brummer sings/says in his characteristic way: “Scheiß Wetter, kein Geld, die Elite ist Schuld!” and “Auch du kannst was erreichen, trag auch du zu etwas bei!”
I won’t give away too much, but if you can’t stand seeing blood, you could best stick to the audio of the song.
