Skin And Earth is Lights’ fourth project. I write ‘project’ deliberately, because it’s not just an album. In fact, it’s the Canadian singer’s first comic. A comic based on her alter ego En, which she wrote and drew herself. She also created music to accompany the images, which will be released as her fourth album. Both will come out on 22 September.

The album Skin And Earth also features Lights’ musical friends Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots, Big Data and Corin Roddick of Purity Ring. The new single off the album is Savage. A fantastic, rocking track with anger in it. “I’ve never written like that before,” Lights says. My suggestion: please do it more often!
