Lissie – Best Days
American singer-songwriter Lissie was born as Elisabeth Corrin Maurus. Fleetwood Mac is one of her main influences (check tracks like Further Away (Romance Police), The Habit and Donβt You Give Up On Me as examples). During her career, she worked with the likes of Bill Reynolds (Band Of Horses), Ed Harcourt, Jacquire King, Snow Patrol, Robbie Williams and most recently she featured on a new acoustic version of a-haβs Iβve Been Losing You. Also, she appeared in David Lynchβs revival of his landmark series βTwin Peaksβ.
These last two things align in some way with the fact Lissie moved from the city to her own ranch in the American West. The influence of this move can also be heard on her upcoming fourth album, Castles (23 March), which is said to be rather subtle. But still thereβs room for gently uplifting songs like Best Days, the new single off it.
