Lou Doillon – Burn
Art runs through Lou Doillon’s veins, as she is the daughter of singer Jane Birkin and director Jacques Doillon, as well as the half-sister of Charlotte Gainsbourg. She began acting as a child (making her film debut at the age of six) and became a French fashion icon. Later, she developed a passion for singing and writing songs. Stimulated by Etienne Daho, she released her first album Places in 2012, followed by Lay Low, three years later.
Early 2019, Doillon’s third album will come out. It’s preceded by the single Burn. Co-produced by Doillon and Benjamin Lebeau of French electro band The Shoes, it’s a groovy tune with a synthesizer line echoing The Cure’s Lullaby, repeatedly interrupted by aggressive synth bursts and distorted guitar crashes. A one of a kind pop song!
