It’s been two years since Maggie Rogers caught the attention and received the praise of Pharrell Williams with her first single Alaska. She presented it to him as a demo, but he urged her not to add a single note. If you don’t know the story, do check this video, it’s hugely inspirational!

A few singles later, Maggie – now living the American dream – has another fine track out. Once again, it’s a layered song, combining dance elements with her folk roots, while I can’t help but thinking it has also been inspired by the Haim sisters, whom she was support act for, recently. Great tune!
