Maxïmo Park – Risk To Exist
Lovely to have Maxïmo Park back on the scene. Not that they have been away, really. The band release their sixth album Risk To Exist on 21 April and announce they have added more ‘soulful grooves’ to their trademark hook-laden melodies. The record was recorded completely live in Wilco’s studio The Loft in Chicago, with Tom Schick (Wilco, Beck) producing. Mimi Parker from the band Low lends his warm voice to five of the tracks.
One of those is the title track, a plea for humanity, which has been chosen as the first single off the album.
