Model Depose – Poison Heart
I can hear you think: don’t touch Depeche Mode’s music! And you may be right, because they have already been covered so often… But that’s the exact reason international synthpop webzine Electrozombies is currently trying to compile ‘the possibly best Depeche Mode tribute compilation ever made’. Instead of the obligatory tracks, they want to present the ‘less popular’ cover songs.
You can read about the first part here, but there is more to follow. A second compilation featuring 14 more covers from the era 2009-2017 will be out soon.
The first track off it has just been released. It is brought to you by Dutch electronic pop band Model Depose, who already treated us with gems like Nightwatch and Particles before. This time, they sank their teeth into a song by their musical heroes Depeche Mode. Watch the clip for Poison Heart below:
