To me, these are the best new songs of the week. What's your fave?
- @BUGS_band,
- @RAAVE_TAPES,
- @indochinetwitt x @QueensChristine,
- #KingPrincess,
- @ReaGarvey,
- #DryCleaning,
- #SuperHi x #Neeka

. @therejects released a 3-track EP last year, but their latest long-player dates from 2012. They just put out a bouncy new single. Well, not exactly new, but newish…

All proceeds from this track will be donated to the @MusiCares COVID-19 relief fund. https://bit.ly/CBMallamericanrejects

. @AisforArrows create an alt-pop sound blending contemporary beats, soft synths and heartfelt lyrics. For fans of @nodoubt, @charlixcx & @the1975.

Every Now And Then is my favourite new track on their debut EP. Soft verses contrast with upbeat choruses. https://bit.ly/CBMaisforarrows

Siren Sing-Along is my favourite track on @thecribs' new album. It’s as sunny as rock songs get. In large part because the opening notes of the intro and chorus bring Dusty Springfield’s I Only Want To Be With You to mind.

Great sing-along stuff indeed! https://bit.ly/CBMthecribs

Post-breakup song Emma by @tanayaharper channels ‘90s indie rock and noughties indie pop, resulting in @remhq- vs. The Bangles-like jangle pop.

Its melodic guitar parts, energetic drum beats and sing-along chorus make it instantly likeable. https://bit.ly/CBMtanayaharper

The timeless song Close Your Eyes And Think Of England is the introductory single from @DelAmitri's upcoming, long overdue 7th album.

A welcome return in the ears of their old fans, that will hopefully introduce them to a whole new generation as well. https://bit.ly/CBMdelamitri

BL/FF (Fake Friends) by Toronto trio @monowhales, an ode to online dating, is another great, bold and bouncing pop-rock track that begs to be played live.

It’s the new Carte Blanche Music Wildcard and will feature prominently on the blog for a week!

The Eviction Song by Sydney-based alt-pop artist @LolaScottMusic is a catchy indie-pop track. It combines her dreamy, honeyed vocals with experimental, synth-driven production. A modern sounding song, full of melody and sweet hooks.

. @TwoYearVacation makes rhythmic radio-friendly indie pop.

To me, Stop Making Sense is a highlight on their new album Laundry Day. Unsurprisingly, the fresh, upbeat song has nothing to do with #TalkingHeads’ concert movie of the same name. https://bit.ly/CBMtwoyearvacation2

. @rinsebne and @hihatchie are frequent collaborators. You can call their music dream-pop, or @thecure light (which is meant to be a compliment).

Rinse's new single Back Into Your Arms features Hatchie’s vocals on it. It's a very radio-friendly tune. https://bit.ly/CBMrinsehatchie
