European Border Breakers Chart 13 July 2018
Itâs Friday the 13th, oh happy day! And there are more reasons to be cheerful. For many people the holiday season has started, for instance. Nevertheless, the European Border Breakers Chart will continue to be updated every Friday around noon. In fact, we just did.
Because of the holiday season, many well-known artists refrain from releasing new material. With a little luck, radio stations and streaming services will put more emerging artists in their playlists. And upcoming artists, thatâs what the EBBChart is about. European artists, to be precise.
This weekâs Top 100 counts 30 (re)entries. Eight of these songs enjoy their very first week in the chart. Here they are:
#25: Tom Grennan – I Might
#32: Yungblud (pictured) – Medication
#61: KMN Gang – KMN Member
#65: Sigrid – Schedules
#78: Lucie Horsch – Flautino Concerto in C Major, RV 443
#92: Bausa – FML
#95: Sabrina & Samantha – KhĂ©ops
#97: Savas & Sido feat. Lakman – Neue Welt

Wernerâs Weekly (week 5)
A week with new music by The Aces, Buffalo Tom, Franz Ferdinand, The Fratellis, and The Go! Team can only be a good week. And to let you join in the fun, I put all of these tracks in the Carte Blanche Music playlist.
But there was more, as you may have read here throughout the week. If you havenât, donât worry. Each Monday morning I present you with Wernerâs Weekly, your compass to the music that matters. The songs arenât only below (in alphabetical order), but also in the Wernerâs Weekly player in the sidebar. The links point you to my original recommendations. What a way to start the working week!
European Border Breakers Chart 26 January 2018
One week ago, many European radio stations attended the ESNS showcase festival in Groningen, the Netherlands. Some of the appearing artists clearly made a big impression, resulting in significant airplay. This shows in this weekâs European Border Breakers ChartâŠ
Yungblud (pictured) has four tracks (or five, if you want) inside the Top 100: I Love You, Will You Marry Me sits at #17, his latest single Polygraph Eyes enters at #34, the mash-up of Camilla Cabelloâs Havana and Dua Lipaâs New Rules that he played for Studio Brussel comes in at #74 thanks to airplay on that Belgian station, and the song that started his career, King Charles, re-enters at #93.
Another artist that clearly took advantage of his presence at the festival, is EBBA winner Youngr. His collab with Endor, Give It Up, is still at #33, his new single Ooh Lordy is new at #62 and the track that won him his EBBA, Out Of My System, re-enters at #89. Tom Grennan holds three positions as well: Found What Iâve Been Looking For (#21), Royal Highness (#24), but the best of them all, his just-released single Sober, crashes in at #48.
Jade Bird hits the jackpot with her latest single Lottery as well, by entering at #59, and Arp Friqueâs Nos Magia is new at #82.
Other entries this week are Amber Arcades – It Changes (#60), Lotto Boyzz feat. Vianni – Bim Bam (#69), Sea Girls – What For (#73), Harry Styles – Wild Thoughts (#78), Farah Elle – Teardrop (#95), Rosie Carney – Awake Me (#96), and The Surfing Magazines – New Day (#98).

Wernerâs Weekly (week 30)
For those of you who are not on holiday, Iâll pretend not to be as well. On the other hand: why would you stop listening to new music when youâre not at home? The stream of great new releases doesnât run dry either.

European Border Breakers Chart 16 June 2017
From the 14 entries in this weekâs European Border Breakers Chart, 10 have been in the list before. Apparently, the European radio stations monitored played a lot of recurrents last week đ .
