Shed Seven – People Will Talk

Formed in 1990, Shed Seven was part of the Britpop scene of the 1990โ€™s. However, they had their finest moments in the second half of that century, just after the peak of the Britpop hype. Well-known hits include Speakeasy, Getting Better, Going For Gold and She Left Me On Friday. The band officially broke up in 2003, but reformed for a greatest hits tour in 2007.

Although Shed Seven continued to play shows around Britain, they only released a new studio album late in 2017. It contains exactly what the title promises: Instant Pleasures. People Will Talk is one of the final tracks on the album, saving the best for last. Itโ€™s a great, sunny pop tune, thatโ€™s already on BBC Radio 2โ€™s playlist. Youโ€™ll probably hate me for it, but I canโ€™t help but hear The Nolansโ€™ I’m In The Mood For Dancing in it. On the other hand, wasnโ€™t that a gem as well?
