Tessa Violet – Bad Ideas
Tessa Violet is an American singer-songwriter, who cites artists as diverse as Nina Nesbitt, Billie Eilish, Twenty Two Pilots, Paramore, Lorde and Taylor Swift as her influences. She’s about to release her debut album independently, but first, she’s releasing the album one song at a time.
Last summer, the vlogger turned musician put out the first single Crush and she has ten left to go. Nine, in fact, as she just released the second single Bad Ideas, which will also be the album title. Violet says the song is about her trying to get the most out of everything, even when it’s not possible.
Bad Ideas is a funny little pop song with alternative-leaning production, like an uplifting eels track. As corny as it may sound, it’s a really good idea to listen to it straight away. It might just make your day!
