The Dark Light – It’s Alright
One way or another, rock is not the first genre that springs to mind when thinking about bands that are – at least in part – from Italy. But The Dark Light may prove you wrong.
The Dark Light are formed by Italian guitarist Marco Simoncelli. After playing in a series of local bands, as well as his own outfit Rewild, he moved to London in 2013, determined to form a new band. He enlisted singer-songwriter Gerard Edwards (vocals), Sonny Moylan (bass), German drummer Henning Brand and Italian guitarist Roberto Cicorella.
In April, The Dark Light release their debut album Keep Off The Grass, which was mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, George Michael, The The). An album full of dirty guitar driven songs with big choruses and immediately hummable tunes. It’s Alright is the new single, that will go down well with Oasis fans.
