The Strokes – Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus
At the start of this year, it seemed highly unlikely The Strokes would ever put out a sixth album. The title of 2013βs Comedown Machine appeared prophetic. But then, in February, there was the single At The Door, quickly followed by Bad Decisions.
Third time lucky, the bandβs latest single Brooklyn Bridge To Chorus is by far the best of the three. If you know a little bit about song structures, itβs title is a good laugh. But thatβs not all, the track comes with an intro that could be mistaken for ABBAβs Money, Money, Money, or even (I Just) Died In Your Arms by Cutting Crew.
What follows, is a great tune, produced by Rick Rubin no less. He was at the helm of the whole of The Strokesβ new album, which saw the light last week as well. A welcome return!
