The bass line of Chic’s Good Times once inspired Queen’s Another One Bites The Dust. Now, a slightly different version of it appears in Get Down With It by Underline & Gissberg. It makes the song instantly recognizable, even though it’s 100% a 2021 production.

The track came about after 28-year-old Swedish producer Behshad Ashnai, better known as Underline, was coincidentally introduced to Joakim Gissberg. Ashnai heard Gissberg sing as the opening act for a boxing match in Las Vegas. He immediately realized this was the voice he needed to finish a timeless instrumental track he had been struggling with for some years.

After about 15 minutes in the studio, they found the right hook to go with the instrumental. The resulting tune, Get Down With It, is a groovy, bass-driven, utterly infectious and radio-friendly song.
