Violent Soho – Lying On The Floor
It has taken Violent Soho four years to come up with a follow-up to their 2016 album WACO. But now (or 3 April, to be precise), the waiting is over. And the title? A disturbing Everything Is A-OK. Frontman Luke Boerdam says about the new record: “It started out as a personal journey but it ended up being… something deeper. It wasnβt just personal, it ended up being this other message βeverything is not ok with the world around usβ.”
A-OK, more or less the albumβs title track, and Vacation Forever have been released as singles in 2019. The new year brings a new teaser. Lying On The Floor is a grunge-drenched track, which even opens with a variation on the famous Smells Like Teen Spirit riff. βItβs about burying your head in the sand and neglecting your problemsβ, according to Boerdam.
