Wildcard (week 2): Wild Horse – Wednesday Night Distractions

Wild Horse are an indie trio. It was formed by brothers Jack & Henry Baldwin with best school mate Ed Barnes in East Sussex, Great Britain. They grew up listening to hip hop beats and classic 60s/70s Brit rock. Their own songs however, have a funked up guitar pop feel. From their bio: β€˜Wild Horse sounds like what putting on a new suit and pouring a long drink ready to go on a crazy night out feels like’.

In 2023, the band worked hard recording, touring and promoting the five singles they put out. These earned them enthusiastic support from media and the industry. Now, they’re ready to make 2024 their springboard to a bigger and brighter future.

Wild Horse are off to a good start with a great new single. Wednesday Night Distractions is an indie pop anthem celebrating nights out and friends with benefits. The song, written by the band’s frontman and main songwriter, Jack Baldwin, sounds like a future radio staple. The band should prepare themselves to collect another set of rave reviews.

Wednesday Night Distractions is the new Carte Blanche Music Wild Horse Wildcard. This implies that it will be galloping prominently at the top of the blog for an entire week.
